Swim Nappies

Any learner who is not fully toilet trained must wear a swim nappy. Either the disposable or re-usable types are accepted. To fit correctly, the swim nappy must fit snugly around the legs and waist, and must not be loose or gaping. Make sure that you are well clear of the pool before removing the swim nappy to avoid any surprises finding their way in. Regular nappies are not to be worn in the pool under any circumstances.

Pool nappies do not stop urine entering the pool, they are only reduce the chance of solid material entering the pool. Swim nappies will not prevent a stool from entering the water over time. Think of them as the the 1st line of defense! However, after some time, the soiled swim nappy will become like a teabag with liquefied fecal matter leaking out. Basically, as soon as a stool is present, the swimmer will need to leave the pool for a toilet break and a clean nappy is to be used.
